Dr. Myk Garn will explore current and emerging pedagogical models to develop an understanding of why building a peer-driven, empirically-referenced, value-added, ROI-busting, data-driven, evidence-based operational and strategic response to a significantly different, transformational, game-changing, paradigm-shifting, discontinuous and disruptive mode of change is so challenging to do.
SOLUTIONS Forum – Moderated by Dr. Ric Baser, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Tulsa Community College. This general session forum will bring together representatives from four different stakeholders: faculty, students, publishers, and college administrators.
Text2Trade Project: As part of a grant from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education Tulsa Community College has developed a website designed specifically for students to buy, sell and trade their used textbooks on-line. The goal is to reduce the overall cost of education by providing increased opportunities for students to purchase textbooks at the lowest cost possible.
"Preparing for the Digital Native": This presentation covers cross-platform tools for development of meaningful content, ease of adoption for faculty, rate of change of data produced, and a glimpse into the future to monitor and shape teaching and learning in our digital world.
